Where do I even start with getting a mortgage?
Answer

The best place to start is with a call with me to discuss your plans, goals, and priorities for your next home purchase. From there I can advise on options and further explain the pre-qualification process for your specific situation. You can schedule a call here

How long does the pre-qualification process usually take?
Answer

Once you complete and submit your online application I can usually get you options within 24hrs.

Is there any cost or obligation to apply?
Answer

There is no cost to apply and no obligation to move forward once you've applied. The initial pre-qualification process is all just exploratory.

Do you have loan options for first time home buyers?
Answer

Yes! I sure do. I have several loan programs designated specifically for first time buyers. These programs often times come with reduced down payment requirements and flexible underwriting terms to favor first time buyers. I have a lot of experience with these options and I look forward to helping you buy your first home.

What if I get pre-qualified and decide not to buy?
Answer

That's okay - you're allowed to change your mind. Sometimes the timing isn't right. You can always come back when you're ready and we can pick up where we left off.

Will you pull credit as part of the pre-qualification process?
Answer

Yes, I will need to pull your credit to complete a loan pre-qualification. However, in a lot of cases I can complete the pre-qualification with just a soft pull of your credit. And a soft pull wont report as an inquiry on your credit.

If you pull my credit will it affect my credit score?
Answer

It depends. If I do a hard inquiry it will report as a credit inquiry. However, in a lot of cases I can complete a pre-qualification with a soft pull of your credit -which does not report as an inquiry on your credit report. If you're concerned about your credit and the affects of a credit inquiry, just let me know during our initial call and we can discuss how the credit inquiry might affect your credit in your specific situation. In some cases, credit inquires don't have any affect on your credit.

How is an Independent Mortgage Advisor different from other Mortgage Advisors?
Answer

An independent mortgage broker works with multiple lenders to find you the best loan options, while a retail lender (like a bank) offers only their own in-house products. Think of a broker as a personal shopper who compares rates and terms from many sources to match you with the right fit. This often means more choices, potentially better pricing, and a more personalized experience.

Answer

Yes! As an independent mortgage broker I'm able to provide very competitive rates. I'm so confident in my rates I have video resources available within the website that show you how to shop and compare loan options between lenders. Transparency and fairness are the cornerstone of what I've built my business on.
